The fire service entrance pipe routes through a sleeve in the foundation wall, extending vertically to the fire riser with a flanged connection located one foot above the floor. Restraining rods with corrosion-resistant coatings run horizontally along the piping, secured with typical retaining glands and hub-and-spigot joints. Sleeves are sized to allow restraining rod installation and are sealed watertight per specification. The exterior horizontal run maintains a specified depth per NFPA standards and is positioned ten feet from the exterior wall.
