Flexible duct connects a rigid duct to a ceiling diffuser, limited to a maximum length of six to eight feet. Draw bands secure the flexible duct snugly without crushing the material, maintaining a minimum of one diameter clearance. An elbow support and a tie suspend the elbow from the overhead structure. When the length of straight duct upstream of the diffuser is less than three diameters, an equalizing grid is required.
