The assembly connects a supply air main duct to a VAV terminal unit requiring three straight duct diameters upstream of the inlet. The inlet duct size matches the valve inlet, and the downstream sheet metal duct must be a minimum of 48 inches long, lined with 1 inch thick, 1.5 lb/ft3 fiberglass coated with neoprene. Hot water coils are integrated into the duct run, and a control panel requires 36 inches of clear space maintained in front of the panel.
