An HSS post sized per plan connects to the underside of a concrete-filled metal deck per plan. A one-quarter-inch thick plate covering three flutes attaches to the deck assembly with four half-inch diameter by four-inch effective embedment Simpson Strong-Bolt two anchors per ICC ESR-3037. The top of the HSS post welds to the cover plate.
