A 460V three-phase electrical power feed supplies a mechanical unit through a circuit breaker and a disconnect switch. The overhead power line connects downward into a circuit breaker designated CB, which then feeds downward into a disconnect switch designated DS. From the disconnect switch, the three-phase conductors drop directly into the mechanical equipment designated by a split hexagon symbol indicating horsepower and unit designation.
