A plate and frame heat exchanger is mounted to a concrete housekeeping pad by the general contractor, bolted through each base mounting hole with bolts sized to match the provided holes. The unit connects to system piping using reducers as required to match unit connection sizes. Each connection incorporates pressure and temperature taps, manual air vents, and sensor wells for controls. Shut-off valves are installed on typical piping runs, accompanied by control valves provided by the temperature control contractor. Drains with hose connections are provided on two lines for system maintenance.
