This assembly consists of a pipe penetrating the roof structure through a prefabricated insulated curb, which is secured to the roof deck with a minimum 8-inch height above the finished roof surface. The pipe is protected by metal jacketing for insulated pipes, with a stainless steel clamp and a protective rubber cap installed at the penetration point. The curb cap features a drip lip for tie-down and is fastened to the curb cover using stainless steel fasteners. A gasket is installed all around the curb, and the pipe is sealed at the roof structure interface. The roof opening size is determined by approved shop drawings, and the insulation with vapor barrier must remain continuous with the cap secured over the metal jacket and rigid insulation.
