A vent pipe from the interior vent system extends up through the roof and insulation assembly. The penetration is sealed with a lead flashing skirt over a composite base flashing, secured by a flexible rubber boot flashing with a drawband and exterior sealant. A vandal-resistant vent cap sits at the top of the pipe, maintaining an open connection to the atmosphere with a twenty-four-inch clearance above the roof deck.
