A preinsulated piping assembly with a protective jacket passes through an exterior concrete wall via a wall sleeve. A water stop is positioned on the non-accessible side of the wall, while link seal fittings or approved equals secure the annular space between the carrier pipe assembly and the sleeve. Mastic end seals protect the insulation ends, with the insulation and jacket extending a minimum of 6 inches past the wall face and the bare carrier pipe extending an additional 6 inches beyond the insulation. For new construction the sleeve is cast in place, whereas existing walls require a core-drilled opening sized for the assembly. Installation must follow the manufacturer requirements for sealing the sleeve and installing the preinsulated piping system.
