A sheet metal duct elbow is configured for air intake or discharge service with a watertight construction. The radius of the elbow is proportioned at half the duct width, with internal stiffening angles provided to maintain structural integrity. The opening incorporates a one-half inch mesh screen angled at a minimum of one hundred thirty-five degrees and secured with rivets or spot welds. The assembly requires soldered or welded watertight joints and interfaces with flashing provided by others. Minimum clearances include twelve inches on the straight run and eighteen inches at the intake hood.
