A branch duct takeoff connects to a main duct configured with a forty-five degree entry in accordance with SMACNA standards. The branch duct transitions into the main duct with a forty-five degree bevel to optimize airflow. A minimum six-inch clearance is maintained from the takeoff. High velocity systems utilizing this takeoff must note a maximum velocity of one thousand five hundred feet per minute to prevent noise generation.
