This piping assembly connects a natural gas supply line to mechanical equipment. A typical gas cock serves as the main shutoff valve upstream of a tee fitting, which drops into a six-inch sediment trap fitted with a removable cap at its base. The run includes typical unions for ease of maintenance and disassembly. An eighth-inch National Pipe Thread plugged tapping is provided upstream of the equipment connection to allow for pressure testing with a gauge.
