The branch duct takeoff assembly connects to the main branch using a standard configuration including internal turning vanes to reduce turbulence and pressure drop. A volume damper is installed within the branch duct to regulate airflow. Branch sizing is determined by the ratio of the branch cubic feet per minute to the main cubic feet per minute, multiplied by the width of the main duct.
