A circuit setter is installed inline with a minimum of seven pipe diameters of straight pipe upstream and four pipe diameters downstream to ensure valid pressure drop readings. The valve is positioned to allow unobstructed access to the dial indicator and read-out hose attachment, with the direction of water flow marked along the pipe.
