The assembly connects a medium pressure main supply duct to a variable air volume box with controls using rigid spiral round ductwork. A conical fitting or forty-five degree tap-in with a square to round transition is installed at the main supply connection with a maximum thirty-degree included angle. A straight duct section at the inlet maintains a length of at least two and a half times the inlet diameter prior to entering the control box.
