An interior concrete slab on grade is supported by engineered recompacted fill or undisturbed native soils per the geotechnical investigation report. A four-inch gravel base per plan rests directly on the subgrade, overlaid by a two-inch sand layer. A ten-mil minimum vapor barrier separates the sand layer from the concrete slab on grade above, which is dimensioned per plan.
