A rectangular air duct is mounted on an existing structural roof deck using parallel Unistrut channels secured to Dura-Block rooftop supports. The 1 7/8 inch by 1 7/8 inch Unistrut channels attach to the Dura-Block rooftop supports with 3/8 inch by 1 inch hex head bolts with strut nuts fastened in two typical locations. The duct is fastened to the framing assembly using number 10 by 3/4 inch Tek screws spaced at 12 inches on center in four typical locations. A waterproof flashing is applied across the top of the rectangular duct to shed water away from the connection.
