The assembly features a vandal-resistant vent cap fitted over a pipe penetration sized and located per architectural plans. A galvanized steel reinforced boot forms the roof flashing assembly with a six-inch skirt resting on the roof construction. A cast iron set screw type counterflashing is secured around the pipe, and the annular space between the flashing and counterflashing skirt is filled with sealant. The counterflashing maintains a five-inch minimum height above the roof surface, with total height configured as required per code.
