The exhaust duct assembly connects to the dishwasher via vertical exhaust risers sized in coordination with the dishwasher manufacturer. The branch duct extends upward into the main duct to prevent condensate from dripping onto clean dishes. The main duct must be at least 4 inches wider than the branch duct to allow water to run around the branch connection. The exhaust duct is welded watertight, and the main duct is pitched to a low point to collect all internal condensation.
