Duct offset configurations define acceptable geometry for transitions between unequal or offset duct sizes. Offset type 1 specifies an angled transition with a maximum angle of fifteen degrees and a minimum length of X divided by 0.26. Offset type 2 specifies a mitered transition with a maximum angle of thirty degrees and a minimum length of X divided by 0.5. Offset type 3 specifies a radiussed transition with a minimum radius equal to three times W divided by two. Unless otherwise indicated on plans, maximum angles shown shall apply to all offsets made with any of the three types.
