A high-efficiency duct take-off assembly connects a round branch duct to a main rectangular duct. The connection features a one-inch flange around the rectangular opening and includes a round manual volume damper positioned within the branch run. A forty-five-degree transition angle is maintained from the rectangular duct face to the round duct size, with a minimum clearance of four inches or one-quarter of the duct diameter. The installation complies with the requirements of Figure 2-6 of the SMACNA HVAC Duct Construction Standards, supported by a sizing schedule correlating round duct diameters from six inches to sixteen inches with corresponding rectangular openings ranging from six by nine inches to sixteen by twenty inches.
