A galvanized roof curb is secured to structural framing out around the base with number ten by one and one-half inch Tek screws at twelve inches on center around the perimeter. Rigid insulation is installed along the exterior of the curb by the roofing contractor, covered by single-ply membrane flashing that extends over the top of the curb and is fastened with number ten by three-quarter inch Tek screws. The exhaust fan housing is set over neoprene gasketing material and secured to the curb with number ten by one and one-half inch gasketed Tek screws spaced at twelve inches on center around the perimeter. Single-ply membrane roofing extends across the roof sheathing and is sealed with hot weld or bonding adhesive at the base of the curb.
