An insulated pipe is suspended from a support structure by a threaded hanger rod secured with double nuts and a standard clevis assembly or other approved pipe hanger. The insulation is continuous over the hanger with a notch at the top to fit around the hanger. Seismic cable bracing per SMACNA is provided with an eyebolt satisfying ASCE 7-05 13.6.8 for hot services one and one-quarter inches and larger in mechanical rooms and two and one-half inches and larger at all other locations. The maximum distance from the support structure to the hanger attachment is twelve inches for greater than twelve-inch conditions.
