A factory curb with cant strip fastens to two-by wood nailers anchored over the roof framing. Roofing material laps up the sides of the curb to maintain weatherproofing. A backdraft damper installs inside the curb throat above the roof opening. A two-by support frame reinforces the opening below the roof. A meshwire screen caps the top of the assembly.
