A vertical branch line connects to the gas main and features a lubricated plug valve for shutoff. A tee fitting at the base extends downward into a minimum six-inch dirt leg to collect sediment. The horizontal branch extending to the gas appliance incorporates a union for disconnect and a unit regulator ahead of the appliance inlet.
