The curb incorporates a wood nailer secured with 5/16-inch by 2-inch screws with washers at 24 inches on center with a minimum of two per side. A factory curb cant strip sits at the base, tying into the surrounding roofing material and automatic backdraft damper. Fastening utilizes 20-penny by 4-inch nails at each corner and at 12 inches on center with a minimum of three on each side of the unit.
