A gravity relief hood is supported by a manufacturer-supplied roof curb featuring an integral nailer strip and an optional leveling platform installed by the general contractor. The curb extension includes an access door and extends a minimum of eight inches above the finished roof level. Roofing materials and counter flashing are applied externally by others around the perimeter of the curb. A manufacturer-supplied control damper with an internally mounted actuator is positioned within the duct opening.
