The domestic water service line enters through a wall support and water service union before connecting to a three-quarter-inch cold water supply line. A three-quarter-inch reduced pressure principle backflow preventer is installed with a drain valve and a hose end with a vacuum breaker. A water meter is fitted into the three-quarter-inch cold water line alongside a shut-off valve with its handle removed and hung adjacent. An expansion tank and a relief valve set at one hundred psig discharge to a floor drain via an air gap. The expansion tank must be charged to match site water pressure prior to system connection.
