An exposed mechanical duct passes vertically through an opening in a concrete slab. The slab edge is framed by steel channels sized per structural drawings. A double Unistrut member is welded across the bottom of the structural channels to serve as a trapeze support. A duct collar is welded to the underside of the Unistrut support to carry the ductwork.
