An insulated sheet metal duct receives a round rigid duct connected through a spin-in fitting containing a balance damper with a locking quadrant. The round rigid duct is fastened to the spin-in fitting using number 10 by three-quarter-inch self-tapping cadmium-plated sheet metal screws, while pop rivets are explicitly prohibited. The assembly is wrapped entirely with foil-faced one-and-a-half-inch fiberglass duct wrap. Hanger straps support the main duct and must be kept tight against both the duct and structural support members, using number 10 by three-quarter-inch self-tapping cadmium-plated sheet metal screws for fastening.
