A rectangular branch duct connects to a main rectangular duct with specific dimensional and angular constraints. The take-off features a maximum transition angle of twenty degrees, a branch angle of forty-five degrees, and a minimum length dimension equal to one-quarter of the branch width or four inches, whichever is greater. Duct sizes are referenced per plans.
