An acoustical duct liner is adhered to the interior of the sheet metal duct with one hundred percent coverage of adhesive. Mechanical fastener pins are spot welded to the duct with speed clip washers pressed down over the pins to secure the liner. Longitudinal joints feature lapped and compressed edges with low and high density backing configurations. Downstream transverse edges are coated with adhesive while upstream edges utilize a twenty-four gauge metal nosing attached by rivets, screws, or welds.
