Flexible ductwork transitions into a supply air diffuser can fabricated from sheet metal or duct board as noted. The diffuser can features a maximum height of twenty-four inches with a specified neck size. A perforated plate with half-inch holes and three-quarter-inch length of height is positioned internally per manufacturer recommendations. Soundline cans are required if the space noise criteria or room criteria is less than thirty or if the duct temperature is less than fifty-five degrees Fahrenheit. Side entry diffuser cans are recommended when less than one diameter of straight top inlet duct to the diffuser is available.
