A roof ventilator penetrates the roof deck and connects to a twenty gauge sheet metal duct located in the attic space. The duct features a one inch internal lining for thermal or acoustic insulation and incorporates a bird screen at the opening. Sheet metal flashing transitions from the roof deck up to the ventilator curb to ensure weatherproofing.
