This installation detail shows the minimum straight pipe lengths required for a circuit setter to obtain a valid pressure drop reading. The piping layout requires a minimum straight run of seven pipe diameters upstream of the device and four pipe diameters downstream. The circuit setter must be installed following the indicated direction of water flow while maintaining unobstructed access to the dial indicator and read-out hose attachment.
