A spiral lock seam duct connects to a ceiling diffuser through a flexible duct run of five feet maximum length, secured by a steel draw band and three sheet metal screws around the draw off, with all joints sealed using approved duct sealant. A balancing damper is installed within the duct run, maintaining a minimum distance of six inches from the transition. A square to round adaptor attaches to the ceiling diffuser using a minimum of one sheet metal screw per side and approved duct sealant. Ten-gauge bracing wires with four tight turns over one and a half inches at each end provide seismic support at a forty-five degree angle via four-inch wide sheet metal straps and structural connections.
