An exhaust fan unit is secured to wood framing using an adjustable mounting flange on each side fastened with one-quarter by one-and-one-half-inch through bolts, lock washers, and nuts at a rate of two per flange. A molded white plastic grille is provided with the exhaust fan at the ceiling line. An integral backdraft damper connects to the duct transition via a minimum of four one-half-inch sheet metal screws positioned to avoid interfering with the damper operation.
