A pipe penetrates a concrete floor slab through a pipe sleeve secured with a minimum of three poured-in-place anchor bolts. The annular space around the pipe is sealed with backing material and sealant, with vapor barrier sealant applied at the top for insulated pipe configurations. Uninsulated pipe configurations utilize a riser clamp resting above the sleeve. Fire-rated assemblies require a compliant fire-stopping system consisting of sealant, backing material, and insulation as specified in Section 23 0000.
