A steel pipe riser passes through a concrete floor slab and is supported by a base plate welded to the pipe wall with half-inch stiffener plates. A one-inch thick medium-density metal-backed waffle pad sits beneath the base plate for vibration isolation. Three-quarter-inch through rods anchor the base plate through the concrete to a steel plate below.
