Boiler B-1 is outfitted with a 60 pounds per square inch gauge American Society of Mechanical Engineers pressure safety relief valve and an automatic gas valve assembly connected to the gas main with a 6-inch dirt leg and a 2-inch union, while the pressure regulator vent extends to the exterior. A 2-gallon shot feeder with a funnel ties into the system alongside expansion tank ET-1 and chilled water supply piping CWS. High capacity auto air vent AS-1 is installed on an 8-inch main with isolating valves, and pumps P-2 and P-3 handle circulation with variable frequency drive controls. A full-size pipe runs from the relief and drain lines directly to the floor drain.
