A vertical duct support strap secures the ductwork within one foot six inches of a change of direction, attached to wall backing spanning a minimum of two bays. The support utilizes a P1000 Unistrut ledger fastened to the steel stud framed wall with one-half-inch machine bolts and Unistrut P1010 channel nuts. A one-inch twenty-gauge duct strap wraps the duct and fastens with number ten sheet metal screws spaced six inches on center.
