The mechanical equipment is secured to the factory curb using three number twelve TEKS screws into the equipment leg and base, and anchored with two-inch lag bolts. A six-inch by eighteen gauge seismic metal tie down strap is fastened to the roof curb using six number twelve TEKS screws, and insert secured using a three-eighths-inch head screw through a five-eighths-inch steel and neoprene washer at twelve inches on center. The waterproofing assembly includes a fiberglass cap sheet, fiberglass felt flashing ply, and a base flashing consisting of two plies of felt and cap sheet over a fiberboard cant strip. The factory curb sits on a four-inch wood support sized per structural drawings with a curb leveling shim underneath, and is finished with twenty-four gauge galvanized iron counter flashing.
