This assembly connects a supply duct to a sidewall linear diffuser using a flexible duct transition. The main supply duct is externally insulated and includes a volume damper with a locking hand quadrant and standoff handle. A flexible duct, sized to match the diffuser plenum connection, extends from the main duct to the diffuser, with its length determined by project specifications. The flexible duct is secured with plenum-rated straps on both the inner and outer jackets, and the wire is anchored to the structure above. A radius elbow with a radius-to-diameter ratio greater than 1.5 is required for the flexible duct, with specific alternatives provided if space constraints exist. The diffuser is mounted within an interior wall assembly, and all duct linings must be foil-faced.
