An exhaust fan mounts to a prefabricated roof curb installed over the roof assembly, secured with fasteners. The roof assembly incorporates fiberglass felt flashing ply, a base flashing consisting of two plies of felt and a cap sheet, and a fiberglass cap sheet. A backdraft damper installs inside the exhaust air duct directly beneath the fan unit.
