An air separator receives inlet flow and connects to a three-quarter-inch automatic air vent with a shutoff valve, specifically an Amtrol number 720. A drain valve with a hose end connection is installed at the bottom with clearance provided for strainer removal when applicable. Pipe sizes are determined per drawings, directing flow to the pump suction. An expansion tank is mounted on a four-inch concrete housekeeping pad with a six-inch offset and connects via a union to the piping network, featuring a three-eighths-inch to one-inch line routed to a floor drain.
