Refrigerant piping penetrates a roof curb with a minimum 12-inch clearance to the top of the curb. Pipe lines are secured with Hydro-Zorb or Cush-A-Clamp mounted to Unistrut anchored to the curb. Openings are filled with foam insulation after lines are installed. A twenty-gauge galvanized sheet metal hood is installed over the penetration after pipe lines are set by the mechanical contractor, accompanied by roof flashing provided by the general contractor.
