A round rigid duct connects to an insulated sheet metal trunk duct via a spin-in fitting, secured with number 10 by 3/4-inch self-tapping cadmium-plated sheet metal screws while prohibiting pop rivets. A balance damper with a locking quadrant is installed within the assembly for airflow control. The rigid duct is wrapped in 1 1/2-inch fiberglass duct wrap with a foil facing. Hanger straps support the main duct assembly with all straps pulled tight against the duct and support members.
