Brick pavers are set in a three-quarter-inch mortar bed over a four-inch concrete slab with an expansion joint separating them from adjacent natural grey concrete with a light broom finish. The assembly rests on a six-inch Class II aggregate base over compacted subgrade. Grout joints between pavers measure three-eighths of an inch in a natural gray color flush with the brick surface.
