A four-inch pop-up spray head is connected to a polyvinyl chloride schedule forty lateral pipe using a swing pipe assembly. A Marlex street ell and a swing pipe ell with spiral barb fittings are installed typically between the lateral line and the spray head to allow flexible positioning and prevent riser damage. The spray head is set flush with the finish grade or top of mulch layer. A PVC schedule forty tee or ell joins the lateral pipe configuration.
