A Bowsmith emitter connects to a PVC lateral line buried twelve inches minimum below finished grade. One quarter inch poly tubing with a maximum length of five feet extends from the emitter to the shrub rootball centerline. A Salco bug cap protects the end of the tubing. A six-inch valve box houses a self-flushing end cap over a six-inch depth of pea gravel.
